New album: CLR016 – Shoulder of Orion

Posted by Joe at 9:33 am

Hello again friends, it's been a while since we've had any new music, but this new album should more than make up for it.  Today we're proud to introduce the newest band to the Copyleft Records family, Shoulder of Orion.  This progressive metal band from the UK was generous enough to allow us to share their amazing music with the masses, so for the love of Pete, go listen to it!  Just like the rest of our music, you can stream it on the "MP3 Streaming" page here, and you can also download it from here directly or from the bittorrent site Mininova.org (all download links are listed in the artist profile).

We've got several other new albums ready to release as well over the next few weeks, so be sure to keep an eye on the site, or if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter or Facebook for any and all future updates.

New Facebook Page

Posted by Joe at 11:11 pm

For anyone who didn't get the message I sent through our existing Facebook page, Copyleft Records now has a brand new Facebook page (listed as a "musician" rather than a business), so we are now able to list band names and upload tracks from each artist. You can visit it by clicking on the link listed in the Links section at the top of the page. Go check it out and "like" it while you're there, so we'll think that we actually have friends and followers!

On an unrelated note, today is the one-year anniversary of the purchase of the domain name http://copyleft-records.com. Happy first birthday to us!

Friends of Copyleft Records: The Stereophones

Posted by Joe at 12:30 pm

Our dear friends in All Heroes have started up another music group called The Stereophones. Although they have completed their debut album (entitled Trouble), they plan to release one song at a time, along with videos and artwork that relate to the tracks. So far, they've released one painting, the first song off the album, and the music video for the song. You can stream the music and video on their website (CLICK HERE), as well as download the song and artwork. They plan to release content on a fairly regular basis, so be sure to keep checking back for new tracks/videos/art!
